Visitor Document Photo capture enables you to collect a photo of a visitor's document during the check-in process. e.g. if you need to capture photo of visitor's ID document. InstaCheckin supports capturing photo of only 1 document.

1. Log in to InstaCheckin web dashboard.

2. Navigate to Kiosk Settings -> Document Photo Capture

3. Configure the appropriate settings and click Save.

The Document Photo Capture Settings page has the following configuration settings:

New Visitors

These settings apply when a visitor is checking in as a new visitor.

Document Photo Capture: 

Determines if visitor should be presented with an option to capture their document's photo. If the checkbox is checked, new visitors will be presented with an option to capture document photo.

Document Photo Capture Optional:

Determines if capturing document photo is optional or required. If the checkbox is checked, visitor can skip to next step in the check-in process without taking the document's photo.

Header Text:

Determines the header text shown on the document capture screen. Please use a user-friendly message here that will guide them correctly. Please keep this message short or it will be trimmed while displaying. e.g. "Take photo of your ID".

Help Text:

Determines the help text shown on the document capture screen. Please use a user-friendly message here that will guide them correctly. This message can be more descriptive to help your visitors. e.g. "Please hold your document behind the kiosk and tap the photo button below".

Returning Visitors

These settings apply when a visitor is checking in as a returning visitor.   

Document Photo Capture: 

Determines if visitor should be presented with an option to capture their document's photo. If the checkbox is checked, new visitors will be presented with an option to capture document photo.

Document Photo Capture Optional:

Determines if capturing document photo is optional or required. If the checkbox is checked, visitor can skip to next step in the check-in process without taking the document's photo.

Using the independent "New Visitors" and "Returning Visitors" settings, you may configure the system in such a way that only new visitors are required to capture document photos while returning visitors are not required to do so. Depending upon your organization's requirements, you can configure these settings as you see fit.
